About
About the practice
Altestra is a management consulting practice for small and medium-sized enterprises, government and semi-government entities. Its subject is the structure an organization runs on: how it decides, how it chooses and delivers its work, and how it changes.
The practice brings together over three decades of collective experience in corporate governance, project and portfolio management, PMO, strategy, organization development, human capital and change, gathered inside organizations like the ones we now serve.
We show no people on this site, by choice. What a client gets is the practice: the method, the specialties behind it, and the people who will be in the room, introduced in the discovery call.

How we are different
Three honest paragraphs
- 01
We size the practice to the organization, not the organization to the practice. That sounds obvious, and it is rare: most consulting delivers the full framework and leaves the client to shrink it, which the client never does. We deliver the smallest set that works and name what was left out.
- 02
We stay until it runs without us, and then we leave. The Hold stage exists so that the first quarter after handover, when the old way tries to return, is not spent alone. The Revisit stage exists so that what we built is questioned on a date, by us, rather than quietly abandoned.
- 03
We are not the right fit for every organization. If you need a large program team on site for a year, or a certification achieved by a deadline, we will say so in the first call and, where we can, name who to ask instead. When a transformation needs technology, we deliver it with partners, Keel first among them.
